A very spontaneous picture I took of my friend's feet last weekend. We watched two movies and then were chit-chatting when I snapped this. I really don't know why she was so shy at the moment.
@edit : tried to soften the graininess of the picture. I think it worked.
@edit : worked a bit on the sock colours. I should be satisfied now (no more edits!)
Thanks! I made a little update where I tried to remove the grain. (It annoyed me too) Unfortunately I can't do much more than that, especially in her pants, without losing the jeans' texture.
yeah it looks like it worked. damn i'm ready for another 10 years to pass when noise should be limited to >3200 iso. just out of curriosity how did you remove the noise? I've tried some wierd stuff in HSV space before but recently i've been shooting 50iso or B&W.
It's purely done in photoshop. basically I used three layers. The original with the grain and color variations/artifacts.
Then I duplicated that layer, and motion blurred it in the same direction as the wood. I used that layer to color-correct the first one with the "Color" blending mode.
I used the same blurred image for the third one. With normal blending mode, I put about 40% opacity. That softened the grain while keeping some of the detail underneath.
The title is as poetic as the photograph; and the photograph is extreme in its exquisitely depicted Beauty. This is the purest kind of Art, and the rarest!

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
